Seventy-one each 8" x 10" positive prints and 35 mm. negatives of Arkansas events and scenes in the Ozark National Forest relating to: Jasper, Mountain View, Combs, and Cass, Arkansas: river ferry and bridge construction at Dardanelle-Russellville, Arkansas; lumbering and stave manufacture, including the Hamlin Stave Company of Little Rock; oil well exploratory drilling in Scott County, Arkansas; highway construction; Arkansas College of Technology; rural schools; floods, including the 1927 flood of the Mississippi River basin; other places, events, activities.

Biographical Note
Initially established by proclamation by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1908, the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests encompass nearly 1,200,000 acres in northern and central Arkansas.
