Biographical Note

John Hugh Reynolds was named chairman of the History and Political Science Department in 1902. David Yancey Thomas came to the University in 1907 as an associate professor in history and political science. Reynolds and Thomas co-authored the History of the University of Arkansas (University of Arkansas: Fayetteville; 1910). The two men asked individuals associated with the university to write biographies of their lives and careers, for use in researching their book.
