Biographical Note

The club held its first meeting on June 18, 1930. Monthly meetings were held from September through May and included a Christmas Social. The Perennial Garden Club sponsored special projects including the beautification of Arkansas Avenue bordered by the University of Arkansas, and the Veterans' Administration Hospital grounds.

Acquisition Information

The Fayetteville Perennial Garden Club Records were donated by Doris Murry of Fayetteville, Arkansas, president of the Perennial Garden Club on December 18, 1988. The supplementary papers to this collection were donated by Vera G. Hall of Fayetteville, Arkansas on November 11, 1992.

Additional materials (Box 4) were donated circa 2001.

Additional materials (Box 5) were donated by Kim Johnson on behalf of the club on June 13, 2023.
