Biographical Note

William Edward Woodruff, Jr. (1831-1907) was an Arkansas politician and newspaperman. He served as a captain in the Pulaski Light Artillery during the U. S. Civil War, and later took over control of the Arkansas Gazette from his father, William Edward Woodruff, Sr. William Edward Woodruff, Jr. served as Arkansas State Treasurer from 1881-1891.
