Biographical Note
The Sigma Nu chapter of the University of Arkansas was founded in 1904. This scrapbook belonged to one or more members of the fraternity from a span of 1915-1918 with materials particularly relevant to a “McRae,” possibly K. G. McRae, and Omer Boyce Alewine who typically went by his middle name. Also featured in the scrapbook is a woman named La Verne Dicey Bratton who has several pages of photographs dedicated to her. She and Boyce were married in 1918. Alewine passed away in 1971 and Bratton passed away in 1987.
