Scope and Content Note

Seventy-three scrapbooks, 16" x 11 1/2" x ca. 2 " each, of mounted clippings, compiled 1953-1978 by members of the staff of Arch Ford, Director of the Arkansas Department of Education from 1953 until his retirement in 1978.

The scrapbooks pertain to public school education in Arkansas. The collection also includes two smaller volumes pertaining to Ford's editorial opinion published in the department's Newsmagazine, ca. 1974-1978, and to his retirement.
