Biographical Note

William Ben Cravens was born January 17, 1872, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He began practicing law in 1893, and was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1906. He served as a congressman until 1912, and then again from 1933 until his death on January 13, 1939.
