Biographical Note
William M. Clements (1945-) is an English and folklore scholar and writer. He served as an English professor at Arkansas State University from 1971-2011, and as the editor of the Mid-South Folklore and of Arkansas Review journals. He is the author of works such as Oratory in Native North America (2002) and editor of works such as 100 Years of American Folklore Studies: A Conceptual History (1988) and Native American Folklore in Nineteenth-Century Periodicals (1986).
