Biographical Note

Mildred Elizabeth Crowley was born April 1, 1910, to James and Sallie Crowley. On August 14, 1930, she married James M. Dickson in Hazen, Arkansas. Mildred Crowley Dickson passed away November 2, 2002, and is buried in Hazen Cemetery.

Two of her sisters, Alladean Crowley Anderson and Allagean Crowley Mills, taught in Prairie County schools; her brother, Joe Crowley, was a Prairie County judge.

Materials are stored in a box with other small manuscript collections.

Acquisition Information

The Mildred Crowley Dickson Papers were donated to Special Collections by Bill on September 1, 2004. The materials were given to Bill by Pat Sorrells of Brinkley, Arkansas, who acquired them following the death of her aunt, Mildred Crowley Dickson.
