This series contains materials used by Liebolt for research in orthopedic surgery. It is divided into two subseries, the first including research files, the second consisting of glass plate slides. A large portion of the research was based on cases handled by Liebolt as surgeon in World War II. For reasons of patient confidentiality, this series is restricted--researchers must receive the permission of the head of the Special Collections Division to examine these files.
