This subseries contains 22 folders of material concerning the design and construction of the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, India. Correspondence concerns matters pertaining to the Foreign Buildings Operations project in New Delhi, including memorandum and related material regarding the contract between the U.S. Government and EDS, together with a copy of the contract and subsequent amendment. Much of the correspondence is with the State Department. Other materials include outline specifications for the chancery building dwelling units and servants quarters dwelling units; blueprints; magazine clippings; and photographs. Also, several Folders pertain to the ambassadors residence project, including cost reports and correspondence concerning consultants services, as well as other correspondence, some with the State Department, regarding same.
