This series contains personal papers and photographs of members of the Proft family, including correspondence, vital records, newspaper clippings, and memoirs. A significant portion of the materials relate to Florence Ellenor Beers and Paul Otto Proft, including materials related to Florence Proft’s teaching career and to Paul Proft’s service in World War II. The series also contains several diaries of Ruth Proft Dannehl that document her daily life and her experience as a nursing student.
