Includes poems; prose books, published and unpublished; translations; essays; lectures and lecture notes; short stories; plays; and miscellaneous items.

All manuscripts are handwritten unless otherwise stated.

All dates are as given by John Gould Fletcher, except where indicated.

Мanу manuscripts including the poems have changes in ink, or pencil. No note of the minor changes has been made in the catalog.

Different drafts of a mss are entered separately, while copies are indicated with the original.

Damaged texts are indicated with a note.

Numerals in brackets (i.e. [I] [II] [III]) have been used to identify different work with the same title. This occurs especially in the poems.

Small brackets ([ ]) have been used to indicate information supplied in the entry.

Arrangement

Major sorting and arranging of the material was done by Mrs. John Gould Fletcher (Charlie May). Her explanatory notes and supplied dates are indicated in the catalog by the initials C.M.F. The series has been further divided by form into nine subseries:
