The personal photos show Jones as a Boy Scout, as a Navy pilot, working in his firm's office, teaching, traveling, and in attendance at various events, both social and official. The professional photos include examples of the work of Balthazar Korab, Maynard Parker, Eric Stoller, Greg and Tim Hursley or an early collaboration of Hursley and Lark, Dungin and Allen, and others. These professional architectural photographers were working on site at projects, or in Jones's home or office. The photographs are in a variety of formats: matted, in polyester sleeves, and in albums. Jones and his staff, or clients, frequently made their own photos. As a result, many snapshots record details of sites and construction.
