Scope and Content Note
The papers consist of two series - administrative records, and records of club activities. Administrative records include minutes, correspondence, club histories written by Eloise Baerg, lists of presidents and their activities, an incomplete collection of yearbooks, and photographs. Records of club activities include reading lists and book reviews. However, the majority of items in this series consist of taped oral histories of club members prepared by ten selected club members in 1987. Each interviewee was questioned about their own lives, Fayetteville, the University of Arkansas, modern literature, and the history of the Modern Literature Club.
