Scope and Content Note The collection consists mainly of biographical information, correspondence, memoranda, typescripts of articles, broadcast scripts, speeches, and magazine and newspaper articles, the majority of which were written or edited by Gilstrap during her career with the United states Department of Agriculture. Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of diaries and reminiscences from 1920s-1990s. Much of the collection is personal correspondence and correspondence concerning Gilstrap's involvement with the Arkansas Department of Agriculture. Also included in the collection, is Gilstrap's family genealogy materials, several family photographs.

Materials include correspondence, diaries, newspaper clippings, photographs, and audio visual materials.
