The papers pertain to the interest of Professor Harrison Hale of the Department of Chemistry in the therapeutic uses of chlorine gas.

Scope and Content Note This collection contains positive prints collected by author Hale for use in illustrating his book, University of Arkansas, 1871-1948, published in 1948. Most have manuscript notations on verso. Eighteen (18) of the photographs used to illustrate Hale's book are not preserved in this collection.
